Time for a brief life update! Let's catch up on what's been going on in my life before we pick up again in the Sound Mind Series.

The Lord intercedes. The proof is in Romans 8:26-27

Transcript
Speaker:

All right, everyone,

welcome back to, I Can't.

2

:

He Can.

3

:

I'm Sarai and I'm your host.

4

:

This is episode 32.

5

:

Episode 32.

6

:

And while it's not a

video episode, I'm sorry.

7

:

I said I would try my best to make

all of these podcast episodes video.

8

:

But there has been a lot going on,

and quite frankly, I've always told

9

:

you guys that I wanna do this right.

10

:

I don't want to just put

out words to put out words.

11

:

And the same thing goes for video.

12

:

If I am not up for a video, I'm

not up for the full on podcast

13

:

experience that I do love.

14

:

'cause I do like actually editing

and doing all these videos and such.

15

:

But if I'm not up for it, I'm not

gonna give you guys something that's

16

:

halfway and I really don't think that.

17

:

I owe it to Jesus and to God to do

the absolute best job that I can for

18

:

my podcast, because that is the only

way that I'm going to glorify him.

19

:

That is the only way, and

that is my only goal really.

20

:

So today's episode,

it's going to be brief.

21

:

Quick life update, What I have been

up to since we have been doing the

22

:

Sound Mind series, but I am going to

tie it all back into what inspired

23

:

me for this episode, and that was

Sunday service today at my new church.

24

:

And it is something very simple,

very brief, like I said, but.

25

:

It packs a punch, and it is

so important because it's

26

:

something that we all look over.

27

:

We don't even realize the importance and

the significance of this detail, but I

28

:

was reminded of it and I really, really

understood it because I know I have also

29

:

experienced it in these past few weeks.

30

:

So

31

:

What has been going on, I am exhausted.

32

:

I am exhausted.

33

:

my body's just fighting itself

right now, you guys, and I know I

34

:

mentioned it briefly and one of the

other episodes that I do have ms.

35

:

Multiple Sclerosis, and while I put

that that identity that I had made for

36

:

myself in 2021 when I was diagnosed,

even though I did put that to bed and

37

:

I just kind of dealt with it and it got

much better, it was much, much better.

38

:

Um, I since had a relapse of the

ms, so it has been kicking my

39

:

butt this week, but you know what?

40

:

It's just, it's really hard.

41

:

It's really hard to sometimes give God the

glory when you are going through things.

42

:

But the more, the more that I continue

and push forward feeling how I feel

43

:

and not complaining, I'm really

just kind of sucking it up really.

44

:

The more I do that, the more

I see Jesus in everything.

45

:

And let me explain what I mean.

46

:

So I had some dizzy spells,

I guess you can say.

47

:

turns out I relapse one in for some

steroids, three day doses of that.

48

:

And now that that is gone, I.

49

:

Guess what I'm feeling are the

remnants of the lesions that

50

:

did some damage in my brain.

51

:

Sounds much worse saying

it than what it is really.

52

:

I promise you I am okay.

53

:

but nonetheless, what I do feel

is, I guess, the remnants of

54

:

whatever damage it did, right?

55

:

So long story short.

56

:

I feel like I'm swimming all the time.

57

:

I feel, I feel funny.

58

:

I just, I don't feel like

myself and I'm very, very tired.

59

:

Very tired, but I see people around me.

60

:

That are dealing with

so many other things.

61

:

Some people aren't sick, but some

people have lost their fathers.

62

:

Some people have lost

other family members.

63

:

Some people are sick and are dealing

with possibly even worse things

64

:

like chemotherapy and cancer.

65

:

And my medication is going to be on the

23rd and you know, praise the Lord that

66

:

I live in a country that has the means to

provide the medication that I need so I

67

:

could soak In my illness, Or I can rejoice

in the fact that God blessed me by living

68

:

in a country where I can get what I need.

69

:

So that's one thing to

be happy about, right?

70

:

The other thing to be happy about is that.

71

:

He is always there, even when

we don't feel like he is.

72

:

He is always there and he may not show

himself to us, but he is working in the

73

:

lives of other people that are around us.

74

:

And other people that deal with us.

75

:

So for example, my doctors, my nurse,

oh my gosh, she was the sweetest

76

:

nurse, and she's going to continue

being my nurse through the infusions.

77

:

So praise the Lord for that because

who wants to deal with a person who's

78

:

hard to deal with when you're already

dealing with something like that, right?

79

:

So there's so many things

to be grateful for.

80

:

So many, um, despite feeling however,

I may feel how tired I may feel.

81

:

You just gotta keep doing the

things that you have to do.

82

:

No one is going to do them for you.

83

:

No one is going to resolve problems for

you, and that's, that's the reality.

84

:

It's you and God and you

have to resolve it with God.

85

:

But what you have to do is

you have to make a move.

86

:

You need to have a plan.

87

:

You have to actually execute what

it is that God wants you to do.

88

:

For me, I had to be sure that

I was on top of my doctors.

89

:

My neurologist, my everything

to get my medications.

90

:

I had to advocate for

myself, push for myself.

91

:

Did they also do it for me?

92

:

A hundred percent.

93

:

And they are outstanding.

94

:

And they are amazing.

95

:

And I am so grateful.

96

:

But prayers, prayer.

97

:

And God hears you and he loves you, But.

98

:

I am pretty sure that God

also wants us to act on things

99

:

and not just sit on our butt.

100

:

He is giving us that

strength to continue, right?

101

:

Because I certainly feel like

he's giving me strength to do

102

:

things and to cook for my kids.

103

:

Like today I just spent, I dunno how

many hours meal prepping for them.

104

:

But he gave me that strength.

105

:

And what, how am I gonna pay him back?

106

:

I'm going to pay him back by doing

this podcast, whether audio or video.

107

:

I'm doing this podcast and I'm

letting you know, letting whoever

108

:

is listening know that there is

glory, and there is victory in Jesus.

109

:

because he gives us a strength

not to just sit back and relax.

110

:

He gives us a strength so we

can put action and put our foot

111

:

forward and continue to walk.

112

:

That's why he gives us strength.

113

:

It's not just so we can watch him work.

114

:

No.

115

:

Otherwise, he would've worked already.

116

:

If that was the case, he would've

worked already and wouldn't even

117

:

require us to ask for anything.

118

:

No, he wants action from us too.

119

:

And that's our faith.

120

:

And our faith needs to have action.

121

:

So that's where I'm at with

my, with my life right now.

122

:

Um, I am praying that next week I will

be able to have my ladies' Bible study

123

:

and that, I will be starting my infusions

on the 23rd, which is next Monday.

124

:

I'm actually looking forward

to it because I don't wanna

125

:

feel like I'm swimming anymore.

126

:

I hope that that brings me some

normalcy, but even if it doesn't,

127

:

even if it doesn't, and this is what's

left over, I will continue to adjust.

128

:

And I will continue to rejoice

because whatever this is, is

129

:

what God has had planned for me.

130

:

And he knew that it was for me because

he knew that I would take it and run

131

:

with it and make something out of this.

132

:

So that is why I'm here.

133

:

And so with that said,

I want to share the.

134

:

Biggest and most important

message that I took from my

135

:

pastor today at Sunday Service.

136

:

right now we are going

through Romans eight and.

137

:

It is so good.

138

:

It is so good.

139

:

So.

140

:

As many amazing messages

and notes that I took.

141

:

The most important thing that really

stood out to me today was Romans

142

:

chapter eight, verse 26 through 27.

143

:

And before I read that, because of

everything that I just told you guys

144

:

right now regarding my little update

and my health and all that stuff,

145

:

this is why it really resonated These

verses speak volumes about where

146

:

sometimes we get strength from and how

God and the Holy Spirit works through

147

:

us when we don't even realize it.

148

:

Romans chapter eight, verse 26

through 27, and it says, likewise, the

149

:

spirit also helps in our weaknesses.

150

:

For, we do not know what we should

pray for as we ought, but the Spirit

151

:

himself makes intercession for us with

groanings, which cannot be uttered.

152

:

Now, he who searches the hearts knows what

the mind of the spirit is because he makes

153

:

intercession for the saints according to

the will of God Verse 26 says, likewise,

154

:

the spirit also helps in our weakness,

155

:

So what were we given?

156

:

After the cross, after Jesus's

sacrifice, we were given the Holy Spirit.

157

:

And it is saying here in verse 26 that

the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses.

158

:

And how am I feeling lately?

159

:

Yeah, this is definitely

one of my weaknesses.

160

:

What I'm going through right now.

161

:

Verse 26 continues for, we do not know

what we should pray for as we ought.

162

:

sometimes we don't know what we need to

even be praying for, and that's true.

163

:

'cause me, for example,

what am I going to pray for?

164

:

Obviously people would say, oh,

you should pray for healing.

165

:

Of course, I pray for healing.

166

:

Yes, but.

167

:

Is God always going to heal someone?

168

:

No, not always.

169

:

So what are other things

that I could be praying for?

170

:

God, please be with these doctors.

171

:

God please this medication.

172

:

God, please let me have, you

know, the steroids that I

173

:

need, et cetera, et cetera.

174

:

All of these things.

175

:

Sometimes we, we don't think beyond

things that we can be praying for.

176

:

Again, it says for we do not know what

we should pray for as we ought, but the

177

:

spirit himself makes intercession for us

with groanings which cannot be uttered.

178

:

So this in us sometimes intercedes

makes intercessions intercedes for us.

179

:

And groans for us.

180

:

Why?

181

:

Because he already knows us,

God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, they

182

:

already know what is inside us.

183

:

So sometimes they intercede for us

and they pray things for us that

184

:

we don't even know we need, that

we didn't even think we would say.

185

:

But yet, here it is,

and intercedes for us.

186

:

Verse 27.

187

:

Now, he who searches the hearts

knows, of course, he meaning

188

:

the Holy Spirit, Jesus God.

189

:

Now he who searches the hearts

knows what the mind of the spirit is

190

:

because he makes intercession for the

saints according to the will of God.

191

:

It was just absolutely beautiful.

192

:

I am not sure if you guys realize that,

but sometimes our words aren't our words.

193

:

Sometimes the spirit intercedes for us

because he has to get the point across.

194

:

And we were like, wow.

195

:

I didn't even feel like I had the

right words, and yet I found them

196

:

and I prayed them and I said it.

197

:

And the same thing goes for our strength.

198

:

We don't know how we got through

our darkest days sometimes.

199

:

We really don't.

200

:

Yet here we are.

201

:

You are listening, and that's

because we get strength from God.

202

:

We get strength from the Lord.

203

:

So the spirit intercedes for us.

204

:

It protects us.

205

:

It gives us the words that we

need sometimes that we can't

206

:

even begin to conjure up.

207

:

And in our weakness, he's there.

208

:

He is always there in our weakness

because like my pastor said,

209

:

God is there when we're strong.

210

:

Yes, He is there even

more in our weakness.

211

:

And this verse right here

is also proof of that.

212

:

He intercedes.

213

:

He gives us prayer.

214

:

He gives us strength, but

most importantly, it gives

215

:

us the endurance to continue.

216

:

Why?

217

:

we have something to look forward

to, and that is being in the presence

218

:

of God and in the presence of Jesus.

219

:

He knows that we are weak.

220

:

He knows that we are weak, and he

knows that we are going to need

221

:

something as someone to remind us

constantly and to help us in our

222

:

weakness when we can't do it alone.

223

:

Everything is just so perfectly

thought out and it's beautiful.

224

:

There is no one else who could have

done any of that, but Keep this verse

225

:

for yourself as a reminder, Romans

chapter eight, verse 26 through 27.

226

:

He gives us what we need when

we don't know how to find it.

227

:

So thank you so much for

listening and my friends.

228

:

I pray that you guys have an amazing

and blessed week, and I will see you

229

:

guys here back next week for another

episode of I Can, he Can Take Care.

To whoever reads this:
I'm glad you're here and I hope you stay a while. There is something I need to give back to the world - and to you.

That 'something' is my story, my life and my words that were once marked by pain, but are now marked by love and a new found faith in Christ. But hold it right there! Do not be quick to judge. While the root of all my talks are founded in the Bible - do not mistake what I have to say for 'unremarkable' or 'not relatable'.

My story is different than yours. However, if there is one thing we 100% have in common, it's that God has always been with us. If you agree - stick around. If you DON'T agree - stick around too. Let me show the unbeliever, the doubter, and the unsure person, how God has always been there.
