Transcript
Speaker:

Alright everyone, good morning

and welcome back to I Can, he Can.

2

:

This is episode eight and before I

jump into the episode that I recorded

3

:

with a special, special person,

I wanted to preface this because.

4

:

The most important part of this

conversation was not recorded.

5

:

The mic started malfunctioning or ran

out of battery, whatever the case was.

6

:

But I do believe sometimes that when there

is something that's very, very important,

7

:

a message that you are trying to get

across, I know that the enemy is out there

8

:

and they don't want it to happen, but.

9

:

Nonetheless, with all the technical

difficulties that we did have, I really

10

:

hope that you do enjoy this episode,

and it's really just two people that

11

:

have a great friendship, having fun

talking and discussing things that

12

:

are really, really dear to our hearts.

13

:

So without further ado,

here's episode eight.

14

:

Hi Brandy.

15

:

Hello.

16

:

Sad

17

:

I have to put my like

normal voice because.

18

:

Are we recording?

19

:

Okay, Welcome back everyone.

20

:

happy Monday.

21

:

Welcome back to I Can.

22

:

He Can.

23

:

Today is a special,

special, special episode.

24

:

I actually have a little

bit of Prosecco in my hand.

25

:

Mm-hmm.

26

:

And in front of me, I have my best

friend who is a treat for you guys.

27

:

Hello.

28

:

Hello.

29

:

I also have Prosecco in my hand as well.

30

:

This is not the usual podcast, everyone.

31

:

So if you enjoy this one more

than the others, shame on you.

32

:

But this is also, they're gonna

enjoy it because I'm here.

33

:

Yes, yes, for sure.

34

:

This was the original thought of the

podcast, to have both of us together.

35

:

Well, I'm not gonna say the

other parts of the podcast.

36

:

No.

37

:

But we definitely always talked

about having a podcast together.

38

:

And here we are.

39

:

So, Brandy, do you wanna say something?

40

:

Introduce yourself.

41

:

Sure.

42

:

Hi everybody.

43

:

I am excited to be here.

44

:

My name is Brandy.

45

:

You're excited to be in your own house.

46

:

Yeah, I am.

47

:

I'm excited to be on The I can't He

Can podcast as a special guest with my

48

:

best friend, Sai as we sit Prosecco.

49

:

And we talk about our friendship

Her new fasting adventure.

50

:

Oh, off of social media.

51

:

Yes.

52

:

We're gonna start that and how her cat may

or may not toss my laptop to the floor.

53

:

She get out.

54

:

So this, sorry if you hear me.

55

:

This is definitely unscripted and going

to be very different, but I hope that

56

:

you guys enjoy it at the end of the day.

57

:

Like I say in all the other episodes,

it is still rooted in Christ and

58

:

really what brought all us together.

59

:

well, it wasn't just Christ,

but it was, I, I'll let Brandy

60

:

explain what brought us together.

61

:

Yes.

62

:

What brought us together?

63

:

Well, I do believe that

God did bring us together.

64

:

Yeah.

65

:

I feel that obviously he put us

in each other's past for a reason.

66

:

I also feel that, Your illness

your multiple sclerosis

67

:

also brought us together.

68

:

because at the time, you know, um,

well my husband, ex-husband, I don't

69

:

know what you wanna call him, soon

to be ex, soon to be ex-husband,

70

:

unfortunately, was, diagnosed with

multiple sclerosis and he was struggling

71

:

with that illness and I didn't have a

good understanding of what it was too.

72

:

I guess live with somebody with that

disease or live with somebody who was

73

:

struggling with multiple sclerosis and

I feel like, God put me in your life

74

:

or you put you in my life, And, um.

75

:

I remember our kids being in the dojo

and in karate school together And, When

76

:

I was having a conversation with one of

the employees at the Dojo, I told her

77

:

about the struggles that my husband was

going through with multiple sclerosis.

78

:

She told me, I know another

mom here who also has.

79

:

Multiple sclerosis.

80

:

And I was like, who?

81

:

She's like, Eli's mom, Sai.

82

:

And I was like, what?

83

:

And she, I'm like, who is that?

84

:

And then she shows me a picture.

85

:

when I saw that picture, I was

like, oh, I know who she is.

86

:

I've seen her before.

87

:

So I think one day I see you

walking in the parking lot and you

88

:

just, I did like it was yesterday

and you just look so exhausted.

89

:

You ambushed me.

90

:

Yeah, I did.

91

:

I did.

92

:

I almost like tackled her like I

was like, it was a nice ambush.

93

:

It really was.

94

:

Yeah.

95

:

It was a pleasant one.

96

:

It was.

97

:

As I saw her walking out of

the dojo, I went up to her and

98

:

I was like, Hey, are you sad?

99

:

Hi.

100

:

You're Eli's mom, right?

101

:

You have multiple sclerosis, right?

102

:

Yeah.

103

:

I was like, so.

104

:

Excited, I introduced myself.

105

:

I said, Hey, I am Jacob's mom and my

husband also has multiple sclerosis.

106

:

Honestly, at the time though, like

I didn't really get to talk about it

107

:

a lot unless it was on social media.

108

:

but like face to face with

people, I didn't really have

109

:

anyone to talk to about that.

110

:

So it was, it was weird.

111

:

Like it was a weird like me.

112

:

But it was also nice to have

something in common with someone

113

:

else and be like, oh my God, yes.

114

:

Like, yes, I understand

that a hundred percent.

115

:

Mm-hmm.

116

:

So that was.

117

:

Was very hot that day.

118

:

I remember too.

119

:

I was like dying.

120

:

I remember that too.

121

:

And I think we were

talking for a while too.

122

:

I don't know if I was in the

car, was I getting out of

123

:

the car or I was in the car.

124

:

I know that there was a few

times where I was in the car

125

:

and like I was stopping you.

126

:

It was like, oh my God, I was dying.

127

:

It was, and I just felt like I had so many

questions and I really wanted to like.

128

:

Get a good perspective because, I

was trying to understand my husband

129

:

at the time but he didn't have a

good way of like expressing himself.

130

:

And I didn't really know what his

struggles were, what he was going through.

131

:

And I understand that everybody

struggles is different.

132

:

Mm-hmm.

133

:

But I felt like, you know what,

here's another woman who's going

134

:

through this, who's a mom, who's

here picking up her kids like I am.

135

:

And maybe she can give me a better

136

:

Understanding.

137

:

Yeah.

138

:

You know, and honestly like I felt

like God was telling me for so

139

:

long to be more patient with Mike.

140

:

Mm-hmm.

141

:

Which Mike is my soon to be ex.

142

:

and I also felt like, I needed

to, to be more patient, but

143

:

also be more understanding.

144

:

Yeah.

145

:

And I never really put the.

146

:

The time in, researching that illness

when he first was diagnosed Mm-hmm.

147

:

Well, My brother-in-law

was also diagnosed with ms.

148

:

and which they say it's not

genetic, but it does happen

149

:

to run in families, which is.

150

:

Crazy that they say it's

not genetic, but a wano.

151

:

It happens more in in

men from what I know.

152

:

But yeah.

153

:

And when he was first initially

diagnosed, which he was diagnosed about

154

:

four years before my husband mm-hmm.

155

:

Or my ex-husband, she

did a lot of research.

156

:

But when I found out that

Mike was diagnosed, Yeah.

157

:

I was just like, okay, come on.

158

:

No, we don't have time for this.

159

:

You gotta keep moving forward.

160

:

Yeah.

161

:

We don't have time to be sad or anything.

162

:

You just gotta, Hey, keep going.

163

:

Yeah.

164

:

So when I did meet you and when we did

start to talk more, I felt like you

165

:

gave me a better understanding mm-hmm.

166

:

Of what that disease was

or, How to live with it.

167

:

So I drew, I truly

believe that it was God.

168

:

Yeah, God placed you in my life

for a reason, for you, for sure.

169

:

In that sense, I think it

was helpful, but then in my

170

:

perspective, looking back at it now.

171

:

It was God talking through you to

me because all of the times that you

172

:

kept, oh, just remember that Jesus,

this and Jesus sat and God loves you,

173

:

and oh, I was cringing every time

that she would talk about God to me.

174

:

And not because I didn't believe, but

because I wasn't ready to really listen.

175

:

And then, finally I did.

176

:

But that's why she Was put in my life.

177

:

Mm-hmm.

178

:

So it it, it worked out very well.

179

:

it's funny that you say that.

180

:

I mean, um, around this time we

had reconciled our marriage after

181

:

being separated for seven months.

182

:

Mm-hmm.

183

:

So, I was trying to make everything right

again, trying to make things new again.

184

:

And anytime that you express to me any

sort of like trials in your marriage.

185

:

Mm-hmm.

186

:

I always reverted back

to God can help you.

187

:

You know, just focus.

188

:

And I did notice the eye roll.

189

:

And I do remember giving you

that uh, devotional which I

190

:

always kept beside my bed.

191

:

Yeah.

192

:

But I still, I always had it beside my

bed from the day that she gave it to me.

193

:

And I do remember inviting you to church

and, you know, sending you sermons that

194

:

I know for a fact you didn't watch.

195

:

I watched a few of them.

196

:

Oh, okay.

197

:

Thank you very much.

198

:

Okay.

199

:

I'm sorry.

200

:

A few of them.

201

:

the first few, probably not,

but definitely later on.

202

:

Yes.

203

:

Yeah.

204

:

Well, I, I was so excited to

share those sermons because for

205

:

those sermons on marriage mm-hmm.

206

:

For me, they were so helpful

and they gave me so much hope in

207

:

such a dark season in my life.

208

:

So I was just excited to share

what God can do in your life.

209

:

But for some reason, like

God, kept telling me, keep

210

:

sharing it with that girl.

211

:

Keep sharing it.

212

:

Because most, I am not a patient person,

and I think that like by the second

213

:

eye roll, I would've been like, okay.

214

:

Beep, I'm leaving, but I just felt God

telling me like, don't give up on her.

215

:

Don't give up on her.

216

:

and yeah, so, and now I also have

a best friend, And not just a best

217

:

friend, but a friend who is not

judgmental at all because I could quite

218

:

literally tell you anything and I have

never had that kind of relationship.

219

:

Ever.

220

:

Yeah.

221

:

I've had very good, you know,

friendships in the past.

222

:

But how good were they?

223

:

Because now they're non-existent.

224

:

So anyway.

225

:

Yeah, and I would never judge you

'cause you're wearing like a God

226

:

goddess love shirt holding a Prosecco.

227

:

No.

228

:

Now I'm wearing a Goddess Love shirt.

229

:

I'll never imagine myself

while sipping on Prosecco.

230

:

No, I'm just kidding.

231

:

Yeah, we actually, okay you guys, let's be

honest right now, tomorrow's my birthday.

232

:

So by the time that, yay, you

listen to this, I will already

233

:

be in my mid thirties officially.

234

:

Mm-hmm.

235

:

but we just came from Flanagans.

236

:

We had, how many.

237

:

Well, I had one and a half.

238

:

We both had one and a half.

239

:

Yeah, we both, we shared, yeah, we,

we finished the second drink and

240

:

together and, but we had a lot of food.

241

:

It was delicious.

242

:

Yeah.

243

:

Yeah.

244

:

We had some nachos, some

ribs, whatever it was.

245

:

It was really good.

246

:

And then now we're here but we're

not overdoing it, you know, we are

247

:

just having a good time because

we never get to really hang out.

248

:

Never.

249

:

Not be Moms 24 7.

250

:

Yeah.

251

:

So this is a very nice change and

I'm so excited for your birthday.

252

:

'cause I will say like I

am so grateful because.

253

:

I have never had a friend

who's made me feel as special.

254

:

Aw.

255

:

As the way that you do, for

me and like my birthday.

256

:

Oh my God.

257

:

You went above and beyond and

you made me feel amazing and you

258

:

just, you're typing me out, man.

259

:

I know, but you really, you really are.

260

:

It's funny because like I always

prayed for a friendship this way.

261

:

Always.

262

:

And I had, I've had close

friends in the past, but.

263

:

I don't have those friendships anymore,

but I've never felt judged by you.

264

:

I mean, I know we've gotten a

little annoyed at each other.

265

:

One time only actually like 24 hours ago.

266

:

But we are, we are, we're women

of Christ and we forgave each

267

:

other and we love each other.

268

:

And we moved on.

269

:

But you said we forgave each other.

270

:

I don't even think it warranted

forgiveness because, no, we did

271

:

say, I'm sorry, to each other.

272

:

Yes.

273

:

Yes.

274

:

Yes.

275

:

And we did say we forgave each other.

276

:

Yeah.

277

:

'cause we said, I'm sorry, I didn't really

mean the apology, but I'm just kidding.

278

:

I'm just kidding.

279

:

No, no.

280

:

But honestly, like, this has been

the friendship that I always prayed

281

:

for and I don't feel judged at all.

282

:

And like you have been the

one person who's been there

283

:

by my side through everything,

284

:

And anytime that I had,

I needed a shoulder.

285

:

You were there and you're just so

selfless and I'm so grateful for you.

286

:

And lemme tell you, you've been

through a really, really rough year.

287

:

actually, if I had a dollar for every

time that you sent me a crying voice note.

288

:

Should I keep this in the other?

289

:

Yeah, you can.

290

:

Of course, of course.

291

:

If I had a dollar for every

crying voice note that you sent.

292

:

I would probably be a billionaire.

293

:

Oh my God.

294

:

That's an exaggeration.

295

:

However, this past year

you'd have a lot more money.

296

:

this year I know, has

been really hard for you.

297

:

But if you could see yourself through

the eyes of another person of me, of

298

:

your best friend, and see how far you've

come, not just emotionally but even

299

:

physically I wish I had the willpower

that you had right now to like, get up,

300

:

go to the gym, do better in that aspect.

301

:

and it's hard for me.

302

:

And I, it's hard for a lot of

people and you're doing it all.

303

:

You're being a mom, you're working full

time, you're taking care of yourself.

304

:

Like you were telling me, you don't even

really want the company of another person

305

:

right now because it's not in your heart.

306

:

Mm-hmm.

307

:

You know, you have yourself first finally,

like for the first time in a long time.

308

:

Yeah.

309

:

That's what God wants for you.

310

:

Like he wants you to love you

before you can be ready to accept

311

:

another person in your life.

312

:

And I know for sure that's

gonna come for sure.

313

:

Any anybody listening to

this podcast right now?

314

:

I'm a single lady.

315

:

I'm just kidding.

316

:

No, but yeah.

317

:

Okay.

318

:

Going back to the serious talk.

319

:

You guys did not hear what we were just

talking about because I cut it out.

320

:

I could not play that for this episode.

321

:

but in all seriousness, I know that I

know my best friend is gonna be just

322

:

fine because she has God with her.

323

:

And at the end of the day, she has

a better relationship with everyone

324

:

around her because she is putting God

first in her life, probably for the

325

:

first time, fully, fully, not putting

her marriage on a pedestal anymore.

326

:

She's putting God and herself.

327

:

Love it.

328

:

All right.

329

:

Shimo,

330

:

she's about to attack.

331

:

No, she's not.

332

:

She's just, she's, I trust cats, bro.

333

:

She's, she's not attack you.

334

:

She's so sweet.

335

:

It's possible.

336

:

Anyway, when I'm moving on from our

friendship, because let's not bore people

337

:

with, all the Sapp friendship stuff,

you keep fasting from social media.

338

:

Mm-hmm.

339

:

Yeah, I don't, I really

don't see the need for it.

340

:

but tell me about why you need

to fast from social media, or are

341

:

you fasting from anything else?

342

:

Or is it just that?

343

:

no, my, the focus was social media and

one of the reasons why I feel like I've

344

:

needed to fast from social media was.

345

:

Because I realized that I, I was spending

so much time just scrolling away.

346

:

Mm-hmm.

347

:

okay.

348

:

In the Bible, one of the 10

Commandments is thou shall not covet.

349

:

and I think I've told you this

before, that we may not even realize

350

:

it, but sometimes on social media.

351

:

You may be, scrolling and looking at other

people's lives and desiring that life that

352

:

they're living or that relationship they

have based on just a story that they're

353

:

posting or a picture that they're posting.

354

:

you might not even realize that

you're desiring that feeling, but deep

355

:

down you may be comparing your life.

356

:

And I realized I was doing

that a lot why do these people

357

:

have that beautiful marriage?

358

:

And here I am, I wish I could be traveling

as often as these couples are with their

359

:

kids, or look at the money that they

have or look at the house every time

360

:

that I saw internalizing their lives.

361

:

Yeah.

362

:

Like, Why not me?

363

:

Exactly.

364

:

And I, and I, I felt that a lot

and I don't wanna thank myself as

365

:

a person that envy, but I started

to feel that at some point.

366

:

look at the house.

367

:

How did they just buy a house?

368

:

and I'm not a homeowner to Puerto

Rico for the third time this year.

369

:

Exactly.

370

:

Like, wow, look at, you know, they have

their summer trip and they have their

371

:

winter trip and I started feeling that.

372

:

And then, it was such a negative

feeling and when I look back.

373

:

Huh?

374

:

I love your tiktoks.

375

:

Oh, well, I love TikTok.

376

:

I do love sharing my inspirational,

TikTok posts, especially now but I

377

:

like TikTok because a lot of the people

378

:

That I know are not on TikTok.

379

:

Exactly.

380

:

And I don't follow a

lot of people on TikTok.

381

:

I follow strangers on TikTok.

382

:

But it was Instagram

that I had to disconnect.

383

:

And then it got to a point where

there were people sliding in my dms.

384

:

I shouldn't have been sliding in my dms,

and I felt like that was a distraction or

385

:

like the devil was trying to pull me in

a different direction when I'm trying to.

386

:

You know.

387

:

Yeah.

388

:

Stay focused.

389

:

Yeah, stay focused.

390

:

So, I don't know, there was

just a lot of negative things

391

:

happening with social media.

392

:

do you think it was like, keeping you

behind on certain things in your life?

393

:

A hundred percent.

394

:

Like, I found myself, like in the

morning, waking up and just immediately

395

:

opening Instagram and scrolling.

396

:

I was studying for the lieutenant's test.

397

:

Mm-hmm.

398

:

And I found myself, very distracted.

399

:

I've passed two of the tests, but I

didn't score high enough to get promoted.

400

:

Pause for a second.

401

:

By the way, not only is, not only is

my best friend, an amazing mom and best

402

:

friend, but she's also a cop, okay.

403

:

Just so you wanna, okay.

404

:

Back to what you were saying

about the lieutenants, but I also,

405

:

that's what she's talking about.

406

:

I also found my daily

screen time decreased.

407

:

50%.

408

:

I'm gonna need some more

Prosecco So 50% less, 50% less.

409

:

I wonder

410

:

So I, if I do it for one day, I would

have to see like how much of it would

411

:

make, even though I don't find it to

be an issue for me though, like I stay

412

:

pretty focused, if you think about it.

413

:

Every time that we grab our phones,

I find myself opening up Instagram

414

:

Mm-hmm.

415

:

You know, like looking

at things like that.

416

:

it's just more of a habit for me.

417

:

It's not problematic, but it

would be interesting for me to

418

:

see what the difference would be.

419

:

And then I will.

420

:

Say that another issue was that

I found myself, especially going

421

:

through these issues of separation and

divorce, I found myself like really

422

:

looking into my husband's profile and

digging for things that I felt were

423

:

causing me more confusion and more

424

:

Insecurities than I ever did before.

425

:

So anytime he would post a story about

whatever it was, I'd try to relate

426

:

it on what we were going through.

427

:

I was reading too much into it.

428

:

Immediately I was, is it 'cause of me?

429

:

Yeah, exactly.

430

:

but I've actually been reading my Bible

so much more, actually the difference

431

:

between you and me, When I really came

to Christ, like I was more reading.

432

:

And even though you had a like read

before and you were very into like the

433

:

devotionals and the word and stuff like

that, you weren't much of a reader.

434

:

You're a reader though.

435

:

I'm, you're like a, she's

a little bit of a geek.

436

:

She's a little nerd, but she's very

intelligent as you guys can see.

437

:

But, but yeah, I, I don't

like to read at all.

438

:

Well, I'm very proud of you for actually.

439

:

Going back in there.

440

:

I don't agree with the social

media fast because I am the type

441

:

of friend that we need to have five

conversations at the same time.

442

:

That's, that's how our friendship

really goes throughout the day.

443

:

but now no more.

444

:

Now I have to, I know when you log

in back to your Instagram, you're

445

:

gonna have like 60 messages from me.

446

:

I know, I know.

447

:

But I, you know what, and another

thing about Instagram is just I

448

:

feel like so many people were like.

449

:

Constantly like looking at my

stories, liking my pictures, but

450

:

then I'd see those same people at

work and they barely speak to me.

451

:

Yeah.

452

:

So like that I was just like, oh, I

don't, you know, like how many of these

453

:

relationships are really like genuine or

Do they even really like care that much?

454

:

Mm-hmm.

455

:

I see that finger.

456

:

You're pointing how,

let me point the finger.

457

:

So I started noticing on my TikTok

algorithm, like obviously I would

458

:

post a lot about Christianity

and Jesus and stuff, and the

459

:

gym because I like to work out.

460

:

But then I started getting all

of these really good looking men.

461

:

Like on my algorithm, and

they're like weightlifting.

462

:

They look amazing.

463

:

Incredible.

464

:

And they're all posting

about weightlifting in Jesus.

465

:

But then I noticed like they have like

all these women Liking their pictures.

466

:

And I'm like, how much of this is real?

467

:

Exactly.

468

:

Like how much of this is actually real?

469

:

And then I started noticing.

470

:

I hate to say this, but like if I had

a post that just revealed a little bit

471

:

more cleavage than it should, Mm-hmm.

472

:

I had a lot more views on that post.

473

:

Mm-hmm.

474

:

Than I did in the one of me, like sweaty

with my hair a mess and no makeup.

475

:

The real one.

476

:

Yeah.

477

:

Shame on that.

478

:

And I was like, what is this?

479

:

So I was like, how many of these

men are actually about like the

480

:

gym and Jesus, how Godly are you?

481

:

Yeah, for real.

482

:

So I'm like, are they really doing

that for like, the same thing goes for

483

:

people on social media like me, people

will consider me now a baby Christian

484

:

because I, I've always believed in God.

485

:

I never understood Jesus.

486

:

I'm a little ashamed to even say

that, but I never understood what.

487

:

Who Jesus was, right?

488

:

Mm-hmm.

489

:

Until now.

490

:

Now I consider myself Christian,

whatever, et cetera, et cetera.

491

:

Anyway, long story short, people

that see me now, it's a complete 180.

492

:

oh, but you're like this.

493

:

No, I was like that.

494

:

Yeah.

495

:

I'm not like that anymore.

496

:

Yeah.

497

:

And I really am Christian, like I

do, like I wanna meet Jesus already.

498

:

if the world ended tomorrow,

I would be like, take me Lord.

499

:

Take me with you.

500

:

And I never thought I would ever say that.

501

:

But when you see these other people

and we are just judging them, kind

502

:

of like, oh, how Godly are you?

503

:

And it's really hard to distinguish

like, okay, how real are you?

504

:

How real is your faith?

505

:

But it's social media

song, you never know.

506

:

Brandy, you gotta slide energy.

507

:

I, uh, well, I'll wait till I'm divorced.

508

:

Prosec.

509

:

Oh yeah.

510

:

Guys, we're gonna pause for

a short pros cycle break.

511

:

So we'll back in just a second.

512

:

Okay.

513

:

And we're back.

514

:

We have cup and hand.

515

:

This was recording the

whole time, by the way.

516

:

No way.

517

:

Yeah, it was recording the whole time.

518

:

Oh my God.

519

:

How funny.

520

:

When all we got our refills,

good thing I didn't for it.

521

:

I'm just kidding.

522

:

You want me to use that?

523

:

No, actually, whoever

knows you well will know.

524

:

Yeah.

525

:

That's Brandy.

526

:

Okay.

527

:

I'm, I'm really gonna leave that now.

528

:

Okay, that's fine.

529

:

I'm just kidding.

530

:

We'll see.

531

:

Listen on Monday.

532

:

Yeah.

533

:

Okay.

534

:

Anyway, so we're back.

535

:

We have our little refills.

536

:

How are we feeling

with, with the Prosecco?

537

:

Good.

538

:

Feeling good?

539

:

Yeah.

540

:

Yeah.

541

:

No, no buzz, nothing.

542

:

I don't, I don't know.

543

:

Not really.

544

:

Not really.

545

:

I don't know if that's a good or a bad

thing, because remember we had that

546

:

one and a half drink of Flanigans.

547

:

That's true.

548

:

But I didn't, I felt more full than Butts.

549

:

Yeah.

550

:

Yeah.

551

:

Because you were wearing jeans.

552

:

I was, I'm wearing so stuck in my

stomach, nachos, ribs and wings.

553

:

Yeah.

554

:

You didn't really have wings though.

555

:

Did you try that one wing?

556

:

No, I didn't.

557

:

My God.

558

:

So good.

559

:

But the nachos were delicious.

560

:

I think I ate most of the nachos.

561

:

Yeah, you did.

562

:

I did because I, I didn't even

see you get I like three chips.

563

:

Yeah.

564

:

No, from the nachos.

565

:

Mm-hmm.

566

:

I like their nachos though.

567

:

It's just that I like

my ribs and wings more.

568

:

Oh, the rib.

569

:

It's okay.

570

:

The ribs.

571

:

It's, we're good.

572

:

Yeah, they're good.

573

:

Flanigan should pay us for this.

574

:

Guys.

575

:

Go to Flanagans.

576

:

Their Moscow mule was

not that great though.

577

:

Mm-hmm.

578

:

It tasted like a blend of Moscow mojito.

579

:

Yeah.

580

:

No, I didn't like it with, yeah.

581

:

Oh, my.

582

:

And I, I was at a retirement

party, so I had about three

583

:

drinks and they were, yeah.

584

:

But they were very small drinks.

585

:

They were like in tiny little cups.

586

:

Yeah.

587

:

And, but they were good.

588

:

They were, I was feeding it.

589

:

Wow.

590

:

Brandon, you've, you've

had quite a few today.

591

:

I did, but I feel, look right

now I am in my Walmart pajama,

592

:

kind.

593

:

This part.

594

:

Okay.

595

:

That's still funny.

596

:

Okay.

597

:

And Is it midnight yet?

598

:

Oh my God.

599

:

Is, is your birthday yet?

600

:

Oh my God.

601

:

That's right.

602

:

I completely forgot.

603

:

She's gonna be 35, 11, 24 right now.

604

:

Oh my gosh.

605

:

It's 1124 on Saturday,

606

:

bro.

607

:

It was off the whole time.

608

:

I think yours was off.

609

:

No, bro.

610

:

What a fail.

611

:

Testing, testing.

612

:

Okay.

613

:

Testing.

614

:

Oh,

615

:

this is not karaoke, brandy.

616

:

I'm sorry.

617

:

Okay.

618

:

Let me tell you guys what just happened.

619

:

We were having the best conversation

after we came back from our

620

:

little break and for some reason.

621

:

Technology is just not working with me.

622

:

So everything we spoke about was

gone, but it's okay because that just

623

:

means that she can come back again

for another episode and we can have

624

:

that same discussion all over again.

625

:

And it may be even better because

honestly, this has turned out

626

:

much better than I expected.

627

:

Me too, me too.

628

:

I thought it was gonna be a little

bit weird, but it's not weird.

629

:

What do you think?

630

:

I don't know.

631

:

Let me ask you, do you feel a

difference in your life with a

632

:

husband versus without a husband?

633

:

Like meaning the day to day

what you do, what's the biggest

634

:

difference that you feel now?

635

:

I I feel more peace.

636

:

Do I feel any different?

637

:

No.

638

:

'cause I was living a very lonely

marriage for a very long time.

639

:

Mm-hmm.

640

:

But.

641

:

Hmm.

642

:

That's a pretty good question.

643

:

Thank you.

644

:

God, you've got me there, buddy.

645

:

It's a hard question to answer too.

646

:

It really is because at the end of the

day, like whatever answer you give I think

647

:

is going to feel a little sad because.

648

:

whatever the response is gonna be.

649

:

You don't want that to be your

response because you would want

650

:

to still have your marriage.

651

:

And I know that you wanted to have

your marriage of course, because from

652

:

the moment I met you that you had

just gotten back together, you were

653

:

fighting tooth and nail to stay in it.

654

:

Which is admirable because some

people just give up easily.

655

:

Like I wanted to give up so

easily for the longest time.

656

:

Yeah.

657

:

but I feel like when two

people are not focused on God.

658

:

and if you don't build that firm

foundation or if you don't keep God in

659

:

the center of your marriage, I don't

believe the marriage is going to succeed.

660

:

So like you both have to have that goal.

661

:

Like you both have to have that vision.

662

:

You both have to have God in the

center of your marriage for it to work.

663

:

And unfortunately, There

is power in a praying wife.

664

:

I did pray a lot for my marriage, but I

realized that my prayers alone, we're not

665

:

going to save the marriage, you know, so

two people have to want to fight for that.

666

:

Know roles.

667

:

Yeah, there's a lot of stuff

that we still need to talk about.

668

:

however, when we came back from our

little break, My best friend had a little

669

:

surprise that she had been hiding from me.

670

:

Something that she's been working on.

671

:

but that's gonna be for another episode

when she's ready to discuss that.

672

:

'cause it's such a good thing.

673

:

It has purpose.

674

:

Mm-hmm.

675

:

So I can't wait for her to share that.

676

:

And I hope you guys really

enjoyed this episode.

677

:

It's definitely been the funnest one.

678

:

this better get the most listens

and downloads of all the other ones.

679

:

When I get back on social

media, I'm sharing this.

680

:

Oh yeah, when she, she better, she better.

681

:

Two weeks repost this two

weeks, man, that's a long time.

682

:

Not for Jesus, she said hurts the most.

683

:

She is, she is fasting from social

media for all the right reasons,

684

:

and maybe I should give that a try.

685

:

So, okay, now what?

686

:

Yeah, two weeks, the, the 28th.

687

:

I will be, done with my social media

fast on the 28th, but it's all for God.

688

:

That means that I'm not gonna be ignored

anymore when I slide into her dms.

689

:

Anyway.

690

:

I hope you guys have enjoyed this episode.

691

:

I hope that something that we've talked

about has given you some joy, some laughs.

692

:

I hope that you have been blessed

in some sort of way by this, and I

693

:

hope that you guys tune in for the

next episode where I may or may not

694

:

have her as my co-host and guest.

695

:

Anyway, have a great rest of your

day, you guys, and until next time.

About your host

Sarai Collado

To whoever reads this:
I'm glad you're here and I hope you stay a while. There is something I need to give back to the world - and to you.

That 'something' is my story, my life and my words that were once marked by pain, but are now marked by love and a new found faith in Christ. But hold it right there! Do not be quick to judge. While the root of all my talks are founded in the Bible - do not mistake what I have to say for 'unremarkable' or 'not relatable'.

My story is different than yours. However, if there is one thing we 100% have in common, it's that God has always been with us. If you agree - stick around. If you DON'T agree - stick around too. Let me show the unbeliever, the doubter, and the unsure person, how God has always been there.
