Speaker:

All right, you guys.

2

:

Welcome back to another

episode of I Can't, He Can.

3

:

It is not Christmas.

4

:

It is July.

5

:

Actually, it's July 6th.

6

:

Today makes one whole year of

recording a podcast and posting every

7

:

Monday, possibly just a handful of,

um, weeks that I was not able to

8

:

post or decided to take a break.

9

:

But today is a very special

episode because today it is one

10

:

full year, July 6th, that I began

this podcast, I Can't, He Can.

11

:

And, um, before I continue to explain

the Christmas tree behind me, um,

12

:

a lot of things change as we will

be discussing in this episode.

13

:

Um, a lot of things change and for the

better and I guess, um, bringing even

14

:

more joy into our home and our life.

15

:

My husband kind of riled up the kids

saying that Christmas was this past

16

:

Saturday, and it-- I think it has been

going on for like two, three weeks now.

17

:

So much so that Ella, who's five, um,

kept saying, "Mommy, Christmas is gonna

18

:

be on Saturday and Christmas is coming.

19

:

Christmas."

20

:

So I was like, "You know what?

21

:

Why not?

22

:

Why not just put up a Christmas

tree and go along with it?"

23

:

And there were no gifts under the tree.

24

:

But, um, the kids putting up the

tree and then having David come

25

:

home and seeing that we actually put

it up was just-- it was very nice.

26

:

It w- there-- I felt the kids

got along for the longest

27

:

period of time in, in a while.

28

:

They fight a lot.

29

:

Um, but it was just nice.

30

:

It was a nice night to share together.

31

:

Um, and yeah, we're literally going

to have Christmas for six months.

32

:

But anyway, I digress with that.

33

:

Again, going back to what I was saying,

today is a very special episode.

34

:

One year, and I really can't believe it.

35

:

Um, I am actually

recording and posting this.

36

:

Um, usually I have things planned out

or like for the Sound Mind series,

37

:

which today would have been, um, the

continuation of the Book of Revelation.

38

:

However, because it is a very important

episode, I had to stop and I didn't

39

:

wanna just do the Sound Mind series,

um, and continuing in that book.

40

:

So- I honestly like thought about it

for months, probably since January.

41

:

I had even spoken to some of the girls

from our Soundmind Bible study, and I

42

:

had so many ideas that I wanted to put

into this one episode and nothing stuck.

43

:

Like, we talked about it.

44

:

We said, "All right, let's record

little clips and put it together

45

:

of, you know, your lives."

46

:

And, um, we had a, a, a Bible

study, and then we forgot, and

47

:

it just-- it, it didn't pan out.

48

:

And then for the past two or three

weeks, I had been thinking, "I

49

:

don't wanna just do the Soundmind.

50

:

I wanna do something different.

51

:

I wanna do something special," but I

couldn't really put anything together.

52

:

Like, nothing came to mind.

53

:

And then today, I just sat at my computer.

54

:

Well, what is my computer?

55

:

But David will say that it, it's his

laptop, but what's yours is mine, honey.

56

:

Um, if he sees this, he's probably

gonna be rolling his eyes.

57

:

But, um, anyway, I sat in front of the,

the laptop, and I just-- I started.

58

:

I started, and I took a br- like

an hour break maybe or a two-hour

59

:

break to make dinner for the kids.

60

:

Um, but pretty much since the time I got

back from church to just about now, um,

61

:

I sat back down, and I was just going

through pretty much all of the videos

62

:

from July 6 of last year when I first

started posting, and I just took some

63

:

snippets of, I think, the episodes, not

that meant most to me, but that I felt

64

:

kind of showed what the Lord has done,

not only in the podcast, but in my life.

65

:

Um, and I just kind of compiled these

together, and I was even messing around

66

:

with this system that I use to record,

and I was-- I will be doing screen shares

67

:

so that if you guys do wanna go back to

any of the, of those episodes, you can.

68

:

I mean, you can find them easily.

69

:

And you'll notice a few new things,

as you probably already heard, the

70

:

new introduction, um, song that that

I selected, something a little softer.

71

:

I feel like it kind of

spoke to me a little more.

72

:

Um, but, you know, just

73

:

To kind of continue with the point

of this episode, um, the last thing

74

:

that I will say is that people change.

75

:

Um, especially when you're walking

with the Lord, He transforms hearts,

76

:

minds, um, even physical appearances.

77

:

Um, some people may call it a glow up.

78

:

I don't know, something silly like that.

79

:

But you really do receive

that glow up from the inside.

80

:

And I, in my humble opinion, believe that

81

:

I have gotten a little bit, just a

smidge closer to having that inner glow

82

:

up, and it's still a work in progress.

83

:

As I always say, I'm not perfect.

84

:

No one is perfect, only our

Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

85

:

But, um, nonetheless, I think this episode

will show the, um, progression of how we

86

:

started, why we started, um, things that

happened in the middle, and then all the

87

:

way to now that brings me so much joy.

88

:

Ooh, and things in life where we even have

a Christmas tree in our house, and it's

89

:

really spectacular to see all of these,

um, clips of some audio, 'cause remember

90

:

it was only audio, and then building up

the courage to do video at one point.

91

:

Um, so I'm really happy.

92

:

I'm really grateful to the Lord that

He continued to minister to me and to

93

:

speak to me, um, and just put it in

my heart and give me the strength to

94

:

continue, to give me the discipline.

95

:

Um, 'cause believe me, sometimes I did

not wanna sit here and do this, but now

96

:

it's just become how David has taught me.

97

:

It is a get to.

98

:

I get to do this.

99

:

Um, that's kind of the mindset that I

have, and I didn't have that before.

100

:

Like I said, a lot of things have

changed in my life, him being one

101

:

of the new most improved changes.

102

:

Um, but for the most part, I can

say that the work and the change and

103

:

everything in my life from beginning to

now and into the future, um, it's all

104

:

the Lord, and it's all His doing, His

plan, and most importantly, His will.

105

:

So I hope that you guys

enjoy the next few clips.

106

:

I will be doing some commentary,

um, maybe before or after the clips.

107

:

Very brief, nothing crazy, but I

hope that you guys enjoy these clips

108

:

that I planned for you guys, because

they all have a special message.

109

:

So anyway, thank you guys

for watching, and here we go

110

:

Sarai Collado-1: All right, you guys.

111

:

So you can see my screen on

112

:

here.

113

:

This is the main page of my YouTube,

and you will find that all of the

114

:

videos have been organized also.

115

:

Just wanted to briefly

share that with you.

116

:

You can find all of the videos and

audio in this very little playlist

117

:

here that has about 83 episodes.

118

:

Um, I have my favorite soaking music here.

119

:

I have some songs that I play also

for the Bible study group that I

120

:

do with my ladies, and of course,

I have the video only playlist.

121

:

So anything that I have recorded for

you guys that's video only is here.

122

:

Um, the videos that, or episodes

rather, that I have also done in

123

:

Spanish are in one, and then the Sound

Mind series, which is audio only.

124

:

So without further ado, I'm going

to go ahead and play what the main

125

:

idea was for the podcast and where

the name came from, and it sounds a

126

:

little weird when I talk just listening

back to myself at the very first one.

127

:

So, you know, if it sounds a

little funny, just don't mind me.

128

:

Um, it's just very odd, but here we go

129

:

And just in case, if it's not obvious,

the title of the podcast is I Can't.

130

:

Like I am over life, I'm

over this problem, I'm over

131

:

everything, I just can't anymore.

132

:

That's kind of where the idea came from.

133

:

Um, I know that I say that personally

at least five times a day, whether

134

:

it's my children, whether it's at

work, or just driving in Miami.

135

:

I really deal with a lot of things that

just kinda get to me and annoy me, and

136

:

literally make me say, "I can't, I can't."

137

:

Um, but the He Can part of it is related

to Jesus, and everything that we talk

138

:

about may relate to you in some way,

whether it's relationships, children,

139

:

work, marriage, divorce, dating,

addictions, trauma, um, many, many things

140

:

that we're gonna talk about, honestly.

141

:

But the He Can part of the title of my

podcast is related to Jesus, because

142

:

at the end of the day, even though

we say, "I can't," the real answer to

143

:

all of our problems in life is Jesus.

144

:

So He can solve everything

for us if we have faith.

145

:

Yes, indeed.

146

:

If we have faith, our Lord and Savior

can and will solve everything for us

147

:

in His time, which is something that I

learned, um, much further down the road.

148

:

I wanted to also share this next

clip of episode one as well, But

149

:

the first scripture that I wanna go

Corinthians:

150

:

says, "No temptation has overtaken

you except what is common to mankind.

151

:

And God is faithful; he will not let

you be tempted beyond what you can bear.

152

:

But when you are tempted, he

will also provide a way out

153

:

so that you can endure it."

154

:

So-

155

:

So as I was gonna say in this episode,

um, as you can see from the title,

156

:

Food Addiction, it was a l- about a

lot of different things, but the main

157

:

point was something very personal

that I s- not still struggle with,

158

:

but did very, very much struggle

with, um, for a very, very long time.

159

:

Um, I don't feel that I'm at that same

place, praise the Lord, but, um, at that

160

:

time, that scripture, 1 Corinthians 10,

uh, verse 13, really spoke to me about

161

:

that situation and about what I was

going through at that time with food.

162

:

Um, so just from the get-go,

it's just a whole different

163

:

vibe that I had going on there.

164

:

But I wanted to show that because, you

know, that was true for me a year ago, and

165

:

still, um, these things can be true today,

not as much, but it's interesting to see

166

:

how things have changed in just one year.

167

:

So anyway, um, I am going to skip over to

our next clip, which is from Christianity

168

:

is Hard, and that is episode three.

169

:

Let's see.

170

:

But it's still hard.

171

:

It's still so hard.

172

:

Every day it's a fight, every day it's

a fight, and it's going to continue

173

:

to be a fight, and we are going to

continue to deal with these things.

174

:

So we just need to always

go back to the beginning.

175

:

We need to pray, we need to

stay in our Word, and we need

176

:

to just continue to seek Jesus.

177

:

Kind of like what I was saying about

episode one, even from that episode

178

:

to today, this is also still so true.

179

:

Everything about our walk with

Christ is difficult, and the

180

:

more we grow our relationship,

the harder it's going to get.

181

:

Um, I know I've talked about it in

other episodes, but the spiritual

182

:

warfare truly is just incredible, and

your eyes, your spiritual eyes actually

183

:

begin to widen and, and to open, and you

become sensitive to things like that.

184

:

So it doesn't get any easier.

185

:

I'm sorry, you guys.

186

:

It doesn't get any easier.

187

:

Um, but what does get easier is how

much more you can endure because

188

:

you understand that you're not alone

and that you're not doing it alone.

189

:

So there definitely is,

peace, peace in knowing that.

190

:

also none of this is scripted, y'all.

191

:

I just selected these little clips.

192

:

But I want you to know that-- I want you

to know, excuse me, that there is peace.

193

:

Um, despite the tumultuous times, things

that happen as you start reading more

194

:

and again, as you start growing that

relationship, there is peace nonetheless.

195

:

Let's see the clip that I have for you

196

:

before I play, this is the first

episode that I did with Brandy.

197

:

So a little fun fact, I always

told her, before I even actually

198

:

started the podcast, I was like,

"We should start a podcast together.

199

:

We should do a podcast,

like, let's do this."

200

:

And then finally when I just randomly

from one day to the other, talk about

201

:

obedience, just found a program,

found the editing equipment stuff,

202

:

all of, you know, the works, and

I started doing the podcast, then

203

:

we finally did a podcast together.

204

:

So this was the first episode that

her and I did, and I just wanted to

205

:

say thank you to her because of her.

206

:

Because of her and my son are the

reasons I started going to church.

207

:

And had I not, we wouldn't be here.

208

:

We wouldn't be here.

209

:

Um, so I know the Lord led me to

her, and He led her to me, so I

210

:

obviously, you know, it's not just her.

211

:

It's the Lord working through us,

um, and why we are at this point.

212

:

But nonetheless, I value and I see that

because of her, I am here, and you guys

213

:

are watching, and all this is happening.

214

:

It's a little bit of a lengthy one.

215

:

So let's see what we have to say

216

:

What brought us together?

217

:

Yes, what brought us together?

218

:

Well, I do believe that

God did bring us together.

219

:

Yep.

220

:

I feel that obviously he put us in

each other's paths for a reason.

221

:

I also feel that your illness, your

multiple sclerosis also brought us

222

:

together because at the time, you know,

um, well, my husband, ex-husband, I

223

:

don't know what you wanna call him-

Soon to be ex … soon to be ex-husband,

224

:

unfortunately, was diagnosed with

multiple sclerosis, and he was struggling

225

:

with that illness, and I didn't have

a good understanding of what it was

226

:

to, I guess, live with somebody with

that disease or live with somebody

227

:

who was struggling with multiple

sclerosis, and I feel like God put me

228

:

in your life, or he put you in my life.

229

:

Mm.

230

:

And, um, I remember our kids being in

the dojo, in the karate school together.

231

:

Mm-hmm.

232

:

And when I was having a conversation with

one of the employees at the dojo, I told

233

:

her about the struggles that my husband

was going through with multiple sclerosis.

234

:

She told me, "Oh, I know another mom

here who also has multiple sclerosis."

235

:

And I was like, "Who?"

236

:

She's like, "Eli's mom, Sarai."

237

:

And I was like, "What?"

238

:

And she … I'm like, "Who is that?"

239

:

And then she shows me a picture.

240

:

When I saw that picture, I was

like, "Oh, I know who she is.

241

:

I've seen her before."

242

:

So I think one day I see you

walking in the parking lot, and you

243

:

just- I feel like it was yesterday

244

:

and you just looked so exhausted.

245

:

You ambushed me.

246

:

Yeah, I did.

247

:

I did.

248

:

I almost, like, tackled her.

249

:

Like, I was like- It was a nice ambush.

250

:

It really was.

251

:

Yeah.

252

:

It was, it was a pleasant one.

253

:

It was.

254

:

I- as I saw her walking out of

the dojo, I went up to her and

255

:

I was like, "Hey, are you Sarai?

256

:

You're Eli's mom, right?

257

:

You have multiple sclerosis, right?"

258

:

Yeah.

259

:

And I was, like, so excited.

260

:

Literally was just like that.

261

:

I introduced myself and said, "Hey,

I'm Jacob's mom, and my husband

262

:

also has multiple sclerosis."

263

:

Honestly, at the time though, like,

I didn't really get to talk about it

264

:

a lot unless it was on social media.

265

:

But, like, face-to-face with

people, I didn't really have

266

:

anyone to talk to about that.

267

:

So it was, it was weird.

268

:

Like, it was a weird, like, meet,

but it was also nice to have

269

:

something in common with someone

else and be like, "Oh my God, yes."

270

:

Like, "Yes, I understand that 100%."

271

:

So that was, was very hot

that day, I remember, too.

272

:

I was, like, dying.

273

:

I remember that, too, and I think

we were talking for a while, too.

274

:

I don't know if I was in the car.

275

:

Was I getting out of the

car or I was in the car?

276

:

I know that there was a few times where

I was in the car, and, like, I would

277

:

stop you- Because it was over 100,

I was like, oh my God, I was dying.

278

:

It was okay.

279

:

And I just felt like I had so many

questions, and I really wanted to, like,

280

:

get a good perspective because I was

trying to understand my husband at the

281

:

time, but he didn't have a good way of,

like, expressing himself, and I didn't

282

:

really know what his struggles were- Yeah

283

:

what he was going through.

284

:

And I understand that everybody's

struggles is different.

285

:

Mm-hmm.

286

:

But I felt like, you know what?

287

:

Here's another woman who's going through

this, who's a mom, who's here picking

288

:

up her kids like I am, and maybe she

can give me a better understanding.

289

:

Yeah.

290

:

You know?

291

:

And honestly, like, I felt like

God was telling me for so long

292

:

to be more patient with Mike.

293

:

Mm-hmm.

294

:

Which Mike is my soon-to-be ex.

295

:

And I also felt like I needed

to, to be more patient, but

296

:

also be more understanding.

297

:

And I never really put the, the

time in researching that illness

298

:

when he first was diagnosed.

299

:

Mm-hmm.

300

:

Well, my brother-in-law was also

diagnosed with MS, and- Which they say

301

:

it's not genetic, but it does happen to

run in families, which is- Crazy that

302

:

they say it's not genetic, pero bueno.

303

:

It happens more in, in men-

Mm … from what I know.

304

:

Yeah.

305

:

And when sh- he was first initially

diagnosed, which he was diagnosed about

306

:

four years before my husband- Sure … or

my ex-husband, she did a lot of research.

307

:

But when I found out that

Mike was diagnosed, I was just

308

:

like- Yeah … "Okay, come on

309

:

No, we don't have time for this.

310

:

You gotta keep moving forward.

311

:

We don't have time to be sad or anything.

312

:

You just gotta, hey, keep going."

313

:

Yeah.

314

:

So when I did meet you, and when we

did start to talk more, I felt like

315

:

you gave me a better understanding-

Mm-hmm … of what that disease

316

:

was or how to live with it.

317

:

So I tru- I truly believe that it was God.

318

:

Yeah.

319

:

God placed you in my life for a reason.

320

:

For you, for sure, in that

sense, I think it was helpful.

321

:

But then in my perspective, looking back

at it now, it was God talking through

322

:

you to me because all of the times that

you kept, "Oh, just remember that Jesus

323

:

this and Jesus that, and God loves you,

and oh," I was cringing every time-

324

:

that she would talk about God to me.

325

:

And not because I didn't believe- … but

because I wasn't ready to really listen.

326

:

And then finally I did, but

that's why she was put in my life.

327

:

Mm-hmm.

328

:

So it, it worked out very well.

329

:

Yes, indeed.

330

:

It worked out very, very well.

331

:

So I played that whole clip

because I noticed as I was going

332

:

through the episodes that the

way we pursued God changes.

333

:

Um, and I'll show you

that in a little bit.

334

:

But this was perfect to include in,

in this episode because, again, if

335

:

it wasn't for her and for my son,

I wouldn't be here, and so much has

336

:

changed from this moment to now, not

just in my life, but also in Brandy's.

337

:

And things that we talked about,

things that we prayed for, um-

338

:

All of those things have

changed and God answered.

339

:

Maybe not in the way that we

wanted to at the time, like in

340

:

this episode, episode eight.

341

:

Um, so if you go back and you listen

to it, you'll, you'll understand.

342

:

But God answered.

343

:

Nonetheless, God's will was done, and He

answered, and we are much better for it.

344

:

So let's see what we

have next here for you.

345

:

Episode 11, The Pursuit.

346

:

And just a few days ago, I was

reading all of my old journal entries.

347

:

I realized that everything that

I was asking God for was like,

348

:

"God, please restore my marriage."

349

:

I was more focused on the things that God

could do for me and my marriage rather

350

:

than focusing on knowing who God is- Yeah.

351

:

Mm-hmm … and his heart.

352

:

Just what I'm saying.

353

:

Building that intimacy with God,

pursuing a relationship with him.

354

:

Yeah.

355

:

I mean, that's how most

people are, though.

356

:

Yeah.

357

:

People only remember God when

they're going through something.

358

:

Yeah, 100%.

359

:

And that's the problem.

360

:

We're so focused on

what God can do for us.

361

:

How can he, how can he, I don't

know, help promote us at work.

362

:

Yeah.

363

:

Oh, my God, I need this promotion

'cause I need more money.

364

:

Mm-hmm.

365

:

Or- Yep … my kid's health, you know?

366

:

Yeah.

367

:

Like, please, the anxiety

that my kid's dealing with.

368

:

Was it 10 times.

369

:

Please, how am I gonna pay my rent?

370

:

And I realized this looking

at these journal entries.

371

:

I was so focused on God blessing me.

372

:

Mm.

373

:

What can you do for me?

374

:

Rather than knowing who

really, like, God really was.

375

:

Yeah.

376

:

And yeah, focusing on the relationship.

377

:

Now you're reading more, too.

378

:

Yeah.

379

:

No- Like, you hadn't really done

that as much, I guess, before.

380

:

No.

381

:

And the real treasure is

eternity that we have in him.

382

:

Now that you say eternity- Yeah … if

something were to happen to me

383

:

now, I feel I won't be afraid.

384

:

This is important.

385

:

Because I know.

386

:

Yeah.

387

:

I know what's waiting for me.

388

:

Of course.

389

:

Obviously, I wouldn't want that

because I would never wanna leave my

390

:

children behind, but- Mm-hmm … the

reality is that I- Say a little

391

:

prayer … have a completely different

understanding of what's beyond, and

392

:

it's crazy because who wants to die?

393

:

No.

394

:

No one wants to die.

395

:

But you know that what is waiting for

you is so beautiful and so amazing

396

:

that it makes this life seem like, ugh.

397

:

Yeah.

398

:

I don't wanna have anxiety every day.

399

:

Yeah.

400

:

I don't wanna go to work every day.

401

:

Am I gonna have a job in heaven, God?

402

:

You- we might.

403

:

I hope it's not a 9:00 to 5:00.

404

:

But we're gonna be happy.

405

:

We're gonna be a super- Also,

we're gonna be with the good

406

:

Lord … happy, obnoxious 9 to 5 maybe.

407

:

Yeah.

408

:

I don't know.

409

:

It's funny because I put in the notes

that the pursuit for eternity with

410

:

God- Mm-hmm … when you live with

heaven in mind, and not just today,

411

:

brings a different sense of peace.

412

:

And you don't worry about that.

413

:

That hope for eternity,

it strengthens us daily.

414

:

100%.

415

:

Knowing and understanding that there's

more is always going to give us peace.

416

:

Again, it's going to give us peace

417

:

I played this for two reasons.

418

:

First, because it was that

contrast of the previous clip.

419

:

Um, we were in different places.

420

:

We pursued God differently.

421

:

Um, I mean, we're pursuing

Him differently even now.

422

:

So it's crazy how many levels there are to

your relationship with God and with Jesus.

423

:

Um, but in reality, even already in this

second episode that her and I recorded

424

:

together, episode eleven, we had already

started changing our minds and our

425

:

hearts, um, in the way that we spoke

to Jesus and how we prayed, and it was

426

:

more about Him, not so much about us.

427

:

Um, and so much so that I even

understood, and I felt the anxiety

428

:

of death so much less, still do.

429

:

Um, and like I said, no one wants to die.

430

:

No one wants to leave

their children behind.

431

:

But we know that there is

something so much better.

432

:

We know that there's something so much

better, that eternity, is at the end,

433

:

and we have that with God, with Jesus

Christ, can't get any better than that.

434

:

So I'm so grateful for that peace,

and seeing the growth from just

435

:

a few episodes before to this

is just amazing to me, honestly.

436

:

I, I absolutely love this.

437

:

But next we have episode thirteen,

Ooh, this one was actually

438

:

A little difficult.

439

:

If you guys want to listen to

my very first recording of my

440

:

testimony, um, I kind of take you

guys through how, I came to Christ.

441

:

Obviously, that includes Brandy and

all that, but I do include a lot of my

442

:

childhood and things that happened to me.

443

:

And the thing that I came to

understand recently actually is that

444

:

a testimony isn't just one thing.

445

:

a testimony can be multiple things.

446

:

It can be different things

throughout your life.

447

:

if you guys wanna listen to

it, by all means, episode 13.

448

:

And let's go ahead and see what I

share from this episode with you.

449

:

So my friends, I wanna leave you with

this last scripture just to show you how

450

:

good our God is, how gracious and loving.

451

:

No matter what we do or go

through, He will always come

452

:

running for us when we call

453

:

Psalm 91, verse 14 through 16.

454

:

"Because he loves me," says

the Lord, "I will rescue him.

455

:

I will protect him, for

he acknowledges my name.

456

:

He will call on me and I will answer him.

457

:

I will be with him in trouble.

458

:

I will deliver him and honor him.

459

:

With long life, I will satisfy

him and show him my salvation."

460

:

I absolutely love that, and

it's all because we're loved.

461

:

It's all because we're loved by the Lord.

462

:

So, all right.

463

:

In this next clip that I'm gonna

show you guys, I noted on here

464

:

for myself that time is precious.

465

:

We all know that.

466

:

We've heard it.

467

:

You know, time is money, time is of

the essence, all of these things.

468

:

Um, but this is a question that I

will ask a lot of people now, seeing

469

:

things in a more spiritual and

God and Jesus Christ centered way.

470

:

So let's check this out here.

471

:

Episode 15: Nothing to Lose

472

:

A person I care about very, very

much reminded me yesterday- David.

473

:

That was David … that time does not

belong to us, and he's absolutely right.

474

:

Time does not belong to us.

475

:

And in this question of what you're doing

with your time, I also ask this: What do

476

:

you have to lose by believing in Jesus?

477

:

What do you have to lose?

478

:

What do you have to lose?

479

:

There's absolutely nothing

that you can lose by building

480

:

a relationship with Jesus.

481

:

He doesn't take anything.

482

:

On the contrary, in Matthew, and

forgive me, the scripture escapes,

483

:

this is not even written here at all,

but He says that His yoke is easy.

484

:

He will give us rest.

485

:

So He doesn't need anything from us.

486

:

All, all we need to do is call on Him.

487

:

We're not gonna lose anything.

488

:

If that, we are gonna gain so

much more with following Jesus.

489

:

Um, so yeah, I memorialized it

with episode 15 Let's move on to

490

:

our next clip, also in episode 15

491

:

Philippians chapter three, verses 20

through 21 says, "But our citizenship

492

:

is in heaven, and we eagerly await a

Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

493

:

who, by the power that enables him to

bring everything under his control,

494

:

will transform our lowly bodies so that

they will be like his glorious body."

495

:

Amen.

496

:

Amen.

497

:

Amen.

498

:

So one of the things that I have

also learned, in my new church it was

499

:

solidified for me that the only thing

we're waiting for is our glorified bodies.

500

:

Right now, we're just living here on Earth

Our bodies is not gonna come with us.

501

:

And like I said, we have nothing to

lose, nothing to lose, and the only

502

:

thing that we're going to gain is

eternity and that glorified body.

503

:

And why wouldn't you want

to have a glorified body?

504

:

If you can just imagine what

that would be, what that would

505

:

entail, what that would look

like, what that would feel like.

506

:

No more aches, no more

pains, just true perfection.

507

:

That's why I ask, what

do you have to lose?

508

:

What do you have to lose?

509

:

People can argue with me all the

time, but I beg to differ that there

510

:

is nothing that you can lose that

is any better than Jesus Christ.

511

:

So moving on to our next clip,

episode 21: We Didn't Fail.

512

:

This is also with Brandy.

513

:

And you'll notice that my tone

is a little bit different here.

514

:

Um, I put already in

love, but He was working.

515

:

So you'll see that I'm saying some

things that don't really make sense.

516

:

But let's go ahead and

listen here to this clip.

517

:

If the marriage is centered in

Christ, then there should not

518

:

be a reason why it would fail

519

:

And I truly do believe that.

520

:

I truly do believe that

521

:

I also know now that I fall short a lot.

522

:

Still do.

523

:

But I also know how I'm changing,

how I've changed, and that I

524

:

still have a lot to change.

525

:

And I'm pretty sure that if that

person is as firm as I am now-

526

:

Yeah … like, in how I, how I love

God, then we should have no problem.

527

:

We should have no problem,

so why not marry again?

528

:

Mm.

529

:

I shouldn't be afraid.

530

:

Mm.

531

:

You shouldn't have- Yeah … to

be afraid if you have God.

532

:

Yeah.

533

:

Spoiler alert, Sarai,

you're married again.

534

:

Um, listen, you guys, if you listen

to every single episode or you know me

535

:

personally, you know all the struggles

and all the things that I've been through.

536

:

Um, you know that I've never been

perfect and that there are things

537

:

that have not been perfect in my life.

538

:

But again, I go back to saying

that God makes everything beautiful

539

:

in His time, and boy, oh, boy-

540

:

Did he make this beautiful?

541

:

Not perfect.

542

:

He never said life was going to be easy.

543

:

He never promised perfection.

544

:

Um, but in that clip I was

talking about David, um, I knew,

545

:

I knew he and I would marry.

546

:

I didn't know when.

547

:

Um, but he is a man who loves the

Lord, who has always loved the Lord

548

:

as, I mean, for years and years he has.

549

:

Has life also, you know,

hit him a few times?

550

:

Of course.

551

:

Duh.

552

:

But

553

:

I mean, he has changed me because of

his love for Christ and because of his

554

:

knowledge and his relationship with

Christ, he has changed me so much, so,

555

:

so much, um, and has helped me grow.

556

:

Like we haven't stayed here.

557

:

And as a couple, I feel like

we're continuing to bring

558

:

each other a little higher.

559

:

Do we have our moments

where we're like here?

560

:

Of course.

561

:

But at the end of the day, what's in

the center helping us is the Lord and

562

:

And we're married.

563

:

We're married and, man, like, again,

one-year episode, never would have

564

:

imagined that this would be real

life right now, but here we are.

565

:

So our next clip is episode 26, and

this one, oh my gosh, this was actually

566

:

from New Year's that I recorded with

Dagmara when we were in Ellijay, Georgia.

567

:

And she actually did my favorite

introduction, uh, that she does on her

568

:

YouTube channel and her TikTok lives,

uh, when she says good morning to

569

:

everyone as she starts doing her lives.

570

:

Um, but I just love her so much,

and it's funny, before I play the

571

:

clip, um, had I not gone to church

because of Brandy and because of my

572

:

son, I would have not met Dagmara.

573

:

And had I not met Dagmara, I would

have not met David, because David

574

:

and Dagmara are brother and sister.

575

:

So it's just amazing to see all

these puzzle pieces come together

576

:

in such a short amount of time.

577

:

Mind you, I was going to church

a year before I did the podcast.

578

:

So I started going to church, a year

later I started the podcast, and now…

579

:

Actually or even more, I don't know,

maybe a year and a half then I started

580

:

doing the podcast and, and here we are.

581

:

But anyway, point is, God makes

everything beautiful in His time.

582

:

And let's go ahead and play

this clip with Dagmarita.

583

:

Bueno.

584

:

Buenos días, buenas tardes-

It's in Spanish … buenas

585

:

noches, buenas madrugadas.

586

:

Bienvenidos al programa

de Yo no puedo, Él puede.

587

:

Y mismo es.

588

:

Estamos en las montañas en

Georgia, en un viaje que de

589

:

último momento se, se hizo, ¿yeah?

590

:

Así de nada.

591

:

Se planificó- Sin planificar.

592

:

Porque nosotros no podemos, pero Él sí.

593

:

Él sí puede.

594

:

Amén.

595

:

¿Quién nos lo iba a decir?

596

:

La verdad.

597

:

Que íbamos a terminar el 2025 y empezar el

:

598

:

Hablando y compartiendo con todos

ustedes, compartiendo nosotros juntos.

599

:

Haciendo memorias nuevas.

600

:

Conociéndonos más.

601

:

Exactamente.

602

:

Pero- Who would have known that when

we were recording this sitting on the

603

:

outdoor patio of our cabin in Georgia-

David and Pedritin were inside.

604

:

The kids were inside.

605

:

It was super cold, but her

and I were sitting recording.

606

:

Um, and we were just talking about what

a way to finish:

607

:

And six months into-- Seven

months in now to:

608

:

our lives have changed so much.

609

:

She also just got married to

her longtime love, Pedritin.

610

:

Um, they got engaged

recently and just married.

611

:

Their wedding is going to be in a few

months, but nonetheless, they got married.

612

:

Um, the Lord is so good.

613

:

The Lord is so good because

he's an amazing man.

614

:

She's an amazing woman.

615

:

And

616

:

Even for particular reasons, um, I'm

not gonna share many details, but the

617

:

Lord is still in the center of that

relationship, so He's been guiding

618

:

them, molding them, and they're married.

619

:

They're married, and I love

you so much, la Marita.

620

:

I know you're gonna watch this.

621

:

I'm so happy for you.

622

:

You deserve nothing but the best,

nothing but love and blessings and

623

:

peace and joy and all things that

624

:

That are good.

625

:

All things God, all things that are good.

626

:

So

627

:

Let's move on before I start crying

628

:

Our next clip.

629

:

Oh my gosh.

630

:

Now this is when things really,

really started changing, you guys.

631

:

Okay.

632

:

This is episode 29.

633

:

It's the third Sound Mind series episode.

634

:

and it's also the first video.

635

:

So I was very nervous, so let's see

exactly what I have to say about it.

636

:

My name is Sarai, and we are

finally face to face, you guys.

637

:

Finally face to face.

638

:

I'm honestly a little

afraid of the camera.

639

:

I did not do my hair.

640

:

I didn't do makeup.

641

:

I am in the same clothes I've been in

all day, and I just said, "You know what?

642

:

I'm just gonna go for it."

643

:

I don't know, can promise that I will

do every single video because it's

644

:

usually just been an audio podcast.

645

:

So if you guys are here, wherever you

can see the actual video, I'm very glad

646

:

that you're here and I am just thrilled

that I have even gotten this far, and

647

:

I can only say that it is because of

the grace of God and His will being

648

:

done just through me to get you guys

whatever it is that I have to share.

649

:

Listen, that is an understatement.

650

:

That is an understatement because even at

this point, which was in the beginning,

651

:

beginning of the year, I was like, "What?

652

:

What am I doing video?

653

:

Like, what is this?"

654

:

And look at my-- look at me right now.

655

:

I'm about to go to bed.

656

:

I haven't even done my hair.

657

:

Here I was like, "You know what?

658

:

We're gonna roll with the punches.

659

:

Let's do it," and I'm so happy.

660

:

And what do you know?

661

:

In one year we went from audio

only to video and to, honestly,

662

:

who knows, who knows what's next

663

:

Let's see our next clip here

664

:

Ooh, episode 39.

665

:

This is another Sound Mind

series, and this is the Book of

666

:

Ecclesiastes, chapter four and five.

667

:

But let's see what I

have to say in this clip.

668

:

People, and I am so grateful, all

glory to the Lord, that in that area,

669

:

I truly am trying to make a change and

670

:

And only He, only He can really,

um, make those changes in us.

671

:

So I am so grateful.

672

:

Let's move on before the

tears start swelling.

673

:

Verse 3: "For a dream comes through

much activity, and a fool's voice

674

:

is known by his many words."

675

:

When you say too much, you

just come off as foolish.

676

:

I'm a rambler, and again, I

need to learn from my own doing.

677

:

Less is more

678

:

Amen.

679

:

Literally, less is more, and you

guys already know that I'm a talker.

680

:

Clearly here I was a lot more

confident already, especially 'cause

681

:

I'm talking to myself as I'm sitting

here in the camera talking to myself.

682

:

Um,

683

:

So anyway, the Sound Mind series,

the Book of Ecclesiastes is amazing

684

:

if you guys want to read it.

685

:

It was difficult for me.

686

:

But finally, when I feel like

the Lord spoke to me, I finally

687

:

understood it and I really embraced

it, and I really do recommend it.

688

:

let's go on to our next clip Oh

my gosh, this is a horrible still.

689

:

Episode 42, The Encouragement.

690

:

I absolutely loved filming this video.

691

:

Let's see what I say.

692

:

Jeremiah 29:10-14.

693

:

Verse 10, "For thus says the Lord:

After 70 years are completed at

694

:

Babylon, I will visit you and

perform My good word toward you and

695

:

cause you to return to this place."

696

:

This is the next one, the

one that everyone loves.

697

:

Verse 11, "'For I know the thoughts

that I think toward you,' says the

698

:

Lord, 'thoughts of peace and not of

evil, to give you a future and a hope.'"

699

:

Verse 12, "'Then you will call

upon Me and go and pray to Me,

700

:

and I will listen to you.'"

701

:

Verse 13, "'And you will seek

Me and find Me when you search

702

:

for Me with all your heart.'"

703

:

Verse 14, "'I will be found by

you,' says the Lord, 'and I will

704

:

bring you back from your captivity.

705

:

I will gather you from all the nations

and from all the places where I have

706

:

driven you,' says the Lord, 'and I will

bring you to the one place from which I

707

:

caused you to be carried away captive.'"

708

:

Now, 29:11, obviously that's a

beautiful verse just because God

709

:

is, is saying that I already know

what I have in store for you.

710

:

I have something beautiful

planned out for you.

711

:

And man, we forget that.

712

:

We forget that there is something

so much more, something far greater

713

:

in our future than what we have now

714

:

Well, ain't that the truth

715

:

in the NKJV version, it sounds a little

bit different, but that's the very famous

716

:

scripture or popular scripture, um, that

says something to the effect of, and

717

:

forgive me if I butcher it, um, "For I

know the plans that I have for you," is

718

:

specifically what most people, um, use.

719

:

And that's what, that's

what the Lord is telling us.

720

:

The plans that He has for

us is His story for us.

721

:

Like, we can't mess with that.

722

:

We shouldn't worry because

it's all figured out.

723

:

And of course we worry, you know?

724

:

Of course, because we're impatient.

725

:

We're impatient, and if we are just still

and we remember that there is a plan

726

:

in place already, we're gonna be okay.

727

:

And in this video, um, I had a note

here for myself, and I put, "This was an

728

:

encouragement I needed, a reminder I felt

that a lot also needed to hear often.

729

:

God has all things in control.

730

:

He is the planner of all things.

731

:

But like in Lamentations 3:24-26,

we need to know that being patient,

732

:

waiting quietly for the Lord,

um, if one thing is for certain,

733

:

is that His will will be made."

734

:

And in the next clip

here, I talk about that.

735

:

Let's take a look here.

736

:

And that's why I wanted to

share Lamentations 3:24-26.

737

:

And that says, "'The Lord is my portion,'

says my soul, 'Therefore I hope in Him.'

738

:

The Lord is good to those who wait

for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.

739

:

It is good that one should hope and wait

quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

740

:

And it's really hard

for us to wait quietly.

741

:

The other day, I saw a video on

YouTube that David shared with me.

742

:

David, of course.

743

:

Um, and I even shared it in the

Bible study with the ladies, and one

744

:

of the things that it said was just

try to be in prayer for 10 minutes.

745

:

Silence.

746

:

Total silence.

747

:

No phone, no nothing, in the dark.

748

:

No sound, no music.

749

:

I couldn't even go two minutes

without wanting to tap my phone

750

:

and look at- It's horrible … the,

the clock to see what time it was.

751

:

And I just, I pray that

we can be more quiet.

752

:

We can be more quiet, and we can

just try to pray in silence and

753

:

truly want to hear what He has to

say to us, because a lot of the time,

754

:

we say, "Oh, God, You're so quiet.

755

:

You're so quiet.

756

:

You don't…

757

:

The Lord doesn't talk to me.

758

:

The Lord doesn't give me a sign."

759

:

But the reality is, are we quiet

long enough to allow Him to speak?

760

:

Are we- True … patient long enough to

truly allow Him to do a work in our lives?

761

:

Are we truly uncontrolling?

762

:

Do we truly release control to

allow Him to move in our lives?

763

:

And we need to analyze those things.

764

:

So I truly pray, I pray

that we can allow that.

765

:

Myself, I'm s- really still working on

some of those things, but again, that's

766

:

my encouragement to you guys as well.

767

:

I couldn't have said it better myself.

768

:

I did say that.

769

:

Okay, I, I I joke, I joke.

770

:

Um, but it's true.

771

:

It's so true.

772

:

And fun fact, fun fact, if you

follow my church, Living Upward,

773

:

and you watch Sunday, July 5th,

this exact thing that I just played

774

:

is what our pastor talked about.

775

:

It was, um, the Book of Colossians 4,

however, part of his e-exhortation to

776

:

us was about being in prayer and how

difficult it is for us to sometimes

777

:

stay in prayer, and that people

pray maybe, like, one minute a day,

778

:

combining seconds here and there,

morning, middle of the day, evening.

779

:

It's, like, one minute

that we're talking to God.

780

:

So when I saw this clip, I couldn't

believe that I was talking about

781

:

it, and I even shared it with

his wife, and I was like, "Wow."

782

:

You know, the Lord's timing is perfect and

perhaps to- that that service was for me.

783

:

And I'm so grateful for it

because he was so right.

784

:

Like, we do not spend

enough time in prayer.

785

:

And anyway, his encouragement to

me today, plus this encouragement

786

:

episode, episode 42, um, is just such

a great reminder that we need to seek

787

:

God more, not just as an emergency

and as a backup, but for everything,

788

:

the good, the bad, the in-between,

every second, as much as we can.

789

:

So let's move on to our next clip.

790

:

There is just two more to go

791

:

Episode 43, keep it in context.

792

:

Let's see what I'm going to say In

going to our Wednesday Bible studies and

793

:

in being there every Sunday since the

beginning of this year, I just started

794

:

serving, again, very small, um, helping

with coffee and snacks for Sunday.

795

:

Hmm.

796

:

But my heart is completely

changed, and my mind is at peace.

797

:

I don't feel exhausted

anymore after services.

798

:

Nope.

799

:

I feel like I am being fed spiritually.

800

:

And I feel like I am supported in a

group of people who truly love God.

801

:

And when there has been the smallest thing

in my life, the first thing that happens

802

:

is, "Hey, Sarai, I missed you today."

803

:

They don't say, "Where were you?"

804

:

They say, "Hey, I hope everything is okay.

805

:

We missed you and the kids today.

806

:

I'm going to be praying for you."

807

:

That's it.

808

:

And, you know, it's not to say that I

didn't have that in the other church, uh,

809

:

'cause there were more people, but when

things come from the heart and things

810

:

are like Jesus, things are Christ-like,

and people live trying to be as righteous

811

:

and as holy as Jesus, there's a lot more

812

:

Ah, what's the word?

813

:

There's a lot more love Mm-hmm There's

a lot more love, and it comes from a

814

:

much more humble place Yes, it does.

815

:

And on the note from the previous

episode that I was talking about

816

:

my new church, um, God will get

you to where you have to go.

817

:

That is the perfect, perfect example

that I can use because I started

818

:

in one church, which was the church

that helped me be led to Christ.

819

:

Um, it's where I learned a lot of

things about myself, um, about the

820

:

fact that I have a servant heart.

821

:

I love serving.

822

:

Like, if I can just jump in and start

helping in five different things, I will.

823

:

Um, and that's okay.

824

:

There's nothing wrong with that.

825

:

But, but you can't pour from an empty cup.

826

:

You need to be recharged.

827

:

Um, it's not just about the works.

828

:

It's not just about serving.

829

:

It's about having your time with the Lord

and with God and, like I said, being fed.

830

:

Um, again, David gave me that analogy that

he also learned that you come to a point

831

:

where you don't want to have baby food.

832

:

You want solid food, and you want more.

833

:

And that's in, that's in

fact what I was in search of.

834

:

And because I was serving so much, um, I

just … My reserves were just depleted.

835

:

Like, my spiritual reserves were

depleted, and I needed more.

836

:

But it's not until you actually listen

to God and obey what He is trying to

837

:

show you or take you out of or … Not

that anything bad happened, by the

838

:

way, but just me as a person, I felt

like I was being driven out because I

839

:

needed more, and I'm grateful for that.

840

:

Why?

841

:

Because now I am in a place where- I

have furthered my relationship with

842

:

God and with Jesus Christ even more.

843

:

And that is more important than any

type of service that I could do.

844

:

Am I serving at my new church?

845

:

Yes, I am, in two different things.

846

:

Small little tasks that go a

very long way, but it doesn't

847

:

matter how big or how small.

848

:

The important thing is that when

I'm not serving, I am actually

849

:

feeding my soul, feeding myself,

learning, growing, and actually

850

:

just leaving with that cup filled.

851

:

I'm leaving ready to take on all of the

attacks, all of whatever is going to

852

:

come my way because it was intentional.

853

:

It was intentional, and it was from God.

854

:

All things that bring

you peace are from God.

855

:

So anyway, I digress.

856

:

Let's go ahead and go

to our last clip here

857

:

Whoa, I already see teary eyes.

858

:

Oh my God.

859

:

This is from episode 46 of the

Book of Philemon that we were

860

:

doing in the Sond Mind series, and

I wrote a little side note here.

861

:

I put, "This has been a ride.

862

:

It's been tough.

863

:

I may not see it in its entirety,

but looking back at all of these

864

:

clips, I see how the Lord has

humbled me and disciplined me."

865

:

And I wrote that down, and

as I was watching some of

866

:

these, it's very, very true.

867

:

He humbled me first because when I

really started reading, for example,

868

:

the Sond Mind series, I feel like that's

when I really dove in just headfirst.

869

:

Um, not just listening to audios

and, um, anything on YouVersion.

870

:

Not that there's anything wrong with

that, but really studying the word.

871

:

He, as in the Lord Jesus,

God, He really humbled me.

872

:

I saw I was not a good person 'cause

you come into this relationship, and

873

:

you're like, "Yeah, I'm all good."

874

:

You know everything from the

world, and it's not like that.

875

:

It's not like that.

876

:

We are all wretched, evil people.

877

:

I didn't see myself as shiny anymore,

which I also used in a previous episode.

878

:

Um, so it was really humbling for me,

and I love, again, seeing the trajectory

879

:

of the first episodes up to now.

880

:

But anyway, let's play this little clip,

which disclaimer, clearly I look very

881

:

emotional here, and you guys know that I'm

sometimes super crybaby-like, so let's see

882

:

True surrender of giving your

all, in my opinion, is, is love

883

:

Ugh, my God.

884

:

And if you're watching, if

you're listening, I'm pausing

885

:

'cause I'm a little emotional.

886

:

But every time I think of Jesus

887

:

Every time I think of Jesus and

888

:

The magnitude- Hmm … of what he did

889

:

It just gets bigger every time.

About the Podcast

I Can't (HE Can)
All things life, love, Christ.
Hello, everyone!! Welcome to I Can't (He Can) - a down to Earth and honest podcast about life's high's, lows, and everything in between.

This podcast began with the intent of sharing childhood experiences, love, raising children, careers, my walk with Christ - not to mention, unpacking (very personal) daily struggles. However, in the most recent months, the show has evolved into something much, much greater. In my humble opinion, of course. Not only do we discuss all of the above; but we also began "The Sound Mind Series" which is dedicated to reading different books of the NKJV bible, word for word! Join me as I share my life journey, walk with Christ and AND share the Word of God.

There is something for everyone. That, I can promise you. I pray this podcast not only entertains you - but more importantly - brings you closer to knowing and loving Jesus Christ. To that end, if you are not sure where your faith lies and/or if you're looking to grow closer to Jesus, THIS podcast is for you.

Sarai Collado

To whoever reads this:
I'm glad you're here and I hope you stay a while. There is something I need to give back to the world - and to you.

That 'something' is my story, my life and my words that were once marked by pain, but are now marked by love and a new found faith in Christ. But hold it right there! Do not be quick to judge. While the root of all my talks are founded in the Bible - do not mistake what I have to say for 'unremarkable' or 'not relatable'.

My story is different than yours. However, if there is one thing we 100% have in common, it's that God has always been with us. If you agree - stick around. If you DON'T agree - stick around too. Let me show the unbeliever, the doubter, and the unsure person, how God has always been there.
